Whenever I am asked to share a biography it makes me nervous and here’s why. I feel that in order to explain who I am, I need some understanding of the past. I have had an interesting life, and I am not the only one. I am my mother’s daughter, a product of a beautiful lineage. It is complex and messy, but that is the human experience. I currently navigate the world as a dancer, a student, an educator, and aunty, a friend, a lover, and a person who tries to create meaning with what beautiful and unknown time they have left. The possibilities in my future are infinite and I am proud of who I am becoming. I always enjoyed the arts, whether it was singing, dancing, or drawing; I have always been able to find a place in creative communities. DAM has been a community where I am able to connect and create with like-minded people. I look forward to the continued collaboration and, more than anything, I appreciate you all giving me a home away from home.
